Whose into Western themes??
Apparently we are! Western themes including cowboys, cowgirls and horses are showing up in the cards being made at Crow Cabin Cards lately.
There is something about the hot summer days and the cool, moonlit summer nights that reminds me of the Westerns I watched as a kid - Gunsmoke, Lonesome Dove, Maverick... Little House on the Prairie, Zorro, Grizzly Adams and Lone Ranger were weekly events for me. Myopic and entranced, I sat as close as I dared and let the wild wild west enchant me in 30 minute increments throughout the 70's and early 80's until Dad finally gave in and bought me my first horse.
Perhaps it is the woods that I live in now that brings up these nostalgic memories for dusty horse corrals and straw hats and is influencing my current designs.
